About Guidescope, Inc.
|
- Company History
Guidescope Inc. was founded in early 2000 to help individuals navigate the
Web faster, safer, and easier. To achieve this goal, Guidescope uses unique,
patent-pending technology to filter advertisements and other unwanted
graphics from Web pages, and to limit the ability of Web companies to track
your surfing.
- Team members
Guidescope's team includes veterans of other successful software
start-ups (Silicon Design Labs, acquired by
Mentor Graphics),
developers of other successful Internet software
(The Internet Junkbuster Proxy),
and technical contributors to other large-data-base Web sites
(AnyWho.com).
The team
was motivated by the desire to help individuals enjoy the richness of
the Web without all the distraction, delays, and privacy risks caused by
Internet advertisements.
- Privacy
We are serious about protecting your privacy. Our
privacy policy is one of the strictest on the Web today.
In addition, as part of our commitment to protecting your privacy and demonstrating
our trustworthiness, we plan to release the
source code of the Guidescope software 8 months after the official end of
our beta test period. The source code will be available on this site.
- Funding
Guidescope Inc. is privately funded and privately held.
