Netscape 3 with AOL Setup
Connect Netscape to our software:

  1. Print out these instructions! After you start following them you won't be able to scroll this window down to see the rest of these instructions.
     
  2. Make sure our software is installed and running. On Windows, our Icon appears in the Windows Tray.
     
  3. Start Netscape 3 and make sure that you are connected to the Internet and can browse.
     
  4. Select "Options" and "Network Preferences..." from Netscape's top menu, as shown on the right. The "Preferences" form will pop up, as shown below.
     
  5. Click on the tab labeled "Proxies".
     
  6. Select "Manual proxy configuration".



  7. Click on "View" to open the "Manual Proxy Configuration" form, shown on the right.
     
  8. Enter HTTP Address "127.0.0.1" and Port "8000" as shown. Note that the address has three "dots" in it! Do not change the other entries on the form; only change the entries for HTTP.
     
  9. Click "OK" to complete the Manual Proxy Configuration form.
     
  10. Click "OK" to complete the Preferences form.
     
  11. Setup is complete. Your browser is now configured to use the Guidescope service.
