What does "User Mail" do?
|
Click on the "User Mail" button on the Guidescope Menu to access
your private Guidescope User Mail box.
What is User Mail?
To protect your privacy, we do not
collect the email addresses of our users or use regular email to communicate
with them. Instead, once you have
installed our free software you are assigned a private User Mail
box at our Web site that communicates directly with
our support team.
You can use your User Mail box to ask for help and to send messages
to us, all without divulging your identity or giving us
your email address. We use User Mail to reply to your questions and to send
notices to you.
How do I use User Mail?
Whenever a you have an unread message waiting
from us, a slowly flashing notice appears on our home page and on the Guidescope Menu
on your desktop. Clicking on the notice opens your User Mail box.
New messages are also automatically opened on start up.
The Guidescope menu on your desktop opens your User Mail in a new window.
The Guidescope menu on our home page opens your User Mail in that browser window.
Click on the subject of a mail message to read that message.
Once the message is opened you can save it or delete it.
If the message is from our Support Team, you can also reply to it.
You can save a copy of messages that you send us by checking the box
labeled "Save a copy of this mail" before pressing the "Send mail" button on the
Send Mail form.
All mail, including copies of mail you send us, expires from User Mail boxes after 90 days.
Once you have installed our free software, you will find a hyperlink to your
User Mail box at the top and bottom of pages on our Web site.
You will also find instructions for using your User Mail box on your
User Mail page.
